I would awaken at dawn each morning to the pecking at (of all things) on the aluminum siding on the house. Someone suggested I run outside in my nightie, screaming & waving my arms when I next heard the woodpecker. It worked. He (or she) left. My neighbors ? We accepted the seller's plea that a 2nd viewing would be too upsetting to a "sick grandpa".<br />So we moved in. We moved out just short of 2 years later.
